CNC and handwheel control for very small batch production with a 1,300 mm swing diameter

The lathes in the MEGA series are specially designed for producing very small batches, performing repair jobs, and machining particularly heavy and large workpieces. In addition to numerical control, the MEGA series is equipped with handwheels, allowing operation like a conventional lathe. This is particularly advantageous for repair work and rework machining. The high drive power of 55 kW and very wide guideways ensure a stable and efficient cutting process. With the MEGA-130, workpieces weighing up to 12 tonnes with a turning length of up to 10 m can be machined effortlessly.
